 Chioggia
Chioggia
is a famous and lively marine city full of history. Chioggia has Roman origines and in the Middle Ages it was the second biggest city of the Republic of Serenissima. Chioggia has an interesting form: it seems to be cut in pieces and sewed together by bridges. Chioggia is called also "Little Venice" with it's narrow streets that lead to the square.

Chioggia is well known for it's fish commerce and agricultural products. Fishing is historically the livelihood of the port, and remains a significant economic sector. Chioggia is also famous for fishing cooking traditions. The local cooking has long traditions.
The choise in a restaurant might not be easy, but we recommend typical dishes like: Boboli de vida, Granseole, Sardele salae, Bibarasse in cassopipa, Bigoli in salsa.
